Step 1: Get Your Learners Permit

To obtain a motorcycle learners permit you must complete a standardised and compulsory 2 Day Learner Permit course.

Step 2: Complete A Check Ride

To obtain your motorcycle licence you must complete a 'Check Ride' prior to undertaking a motorcycle licence course.

Undertake a motorcycle licence course during which you need to complete both an off-road and on-road assessment.

Already Have An Overseas Motorcycle Licence?

If your overseas motorcycle licence or riding experience is recognised by VicRoads then you may not have to do any testing or waiting periods may not be applicable to you.

However if your overseas motorcycle licence isn't recognised by VicRoads you may be able to complete a motorcycle conversion process.

Under the motorcycle conversion process you will be required to complete the motorcycle learners permit course and motorcycle licence course
